Refund Policy

Effective Alan Wizemann, LLC

ShabuBox is sold directly from this site, so refunds are ours to handle — not a storefront’s. If ShabuBox isn’t right for you, email us within 14 days of buying and we’ll refund you in full. No interrogation, no hoops.

Tell us first

If something isn’t working, please email us before asking for a refund. Most refund-worthy problems are bugs we’d rather fix — and usually can, fast. We’d much prefer to make ShabuBox right for you than to lose you over something fixable. Reach us at hello@shabubox.com.

That said, this is a request, not a condition. You never have to explain yourself to get your money back.

The 14-day refund

Email hello@shabubox.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund the full purchase price. Include the email address you bought with, or your order ID, so we can find the transaction. We don’t require a reason, and we don’t try to talk you out of it.

Where local consumer law gives you stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply and nothing here limits them.

The trial comes first

ShabuBox is a free, full-featured 30-day trial before any payment. That’s the honest part of this: by the time you pay, you’ve had a month with your own documents in the real app. Most people know well before the card comes out. Please use the trial fully — it exists so that buying is the last step, not the first.

How to request one

  • Email hello@shabubox.com within 14 days of purchase.
  • Tell us the email address you purchased with, or the order ID from your receipt.
  • We issue the refund. You don’t need to fill in a form or justify the request.

How the money gets back to you

Payments for ShabuBox are handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), which acts as the merchant of record: Paddle is the seller on your receipt, processes the card, and handles VAT and sales tax. We never see or store your card details.

When we approve a refund, Paddle returns the money to the original payment method. How quickly it lands is up to your bank or card issuer — typically a few business days, and up to about ten in slower cases. If it hasn’t appeared after that, email us and we’ll chase it with Paddle.

What happens to your license

A refunded license is revoked. It stops unlocking ShabuBox, and the app returns to its unlicensed state the next time it checks the revocation list. The 30-day trial does not restart.

If you later change your mind, you’re welcome to buy again at the then-current price.

Your documents are unaffected

Refunding a license touches the license and nothing else. Your documents are ordinary files in ordinary folders on your Mac. They stay exactly where they are, readable by Finder, Preview, and anything else, whether or not ShabuBox is licensed. Nothing is deleted, locked, or held hostage. They were always yours.
